The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for providing a variety of Onboarding, screening, administrative and logistical support to the Education Practice Recruiters. This position may also be responsible for training, supervising, and coordinating the day to day workload of the Onboarding Specialist.

Essential Functions

Keep abreast on new Onboarding processes for Kelly and train Onboarding specialists.

Finalize all Candidate registration/Onboarding forms including employment application, tax forms, I-9, skills inventory, teaching credentials and/or certifications, and any additional paperwork as required.  Responsible or the accuracy of completed forms within state, federal, and company guidelines.

Contact and respond to candidates as necessary in order to complete the required Onboarding registration process to include, but not limited to, request background screening, drug testing, fingerprinting, teaching certification, and any additional state/district screening requirements.

Clearly communicates roles and responsibilities and holds employees accountable for delivering results. Instills customer focus and sense of urgency in employees.  Conduct quality assurance and make recommendations.  Ensure that the onboarding team is providing excellent customer service to all temporary staff and clients. Monitor and distribute workload. Advise Recruiting and Onboarding Lead of challenges and successes as well as team capacity to ensure resources are allocated appropriately


Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Years of Experience: 1 year in Recruiting, Customer Service, Onboarding, or Staffing

Skills: Highly organized with attention to detail, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, experience in screening, Onboarding and conducting orientations preferred.  Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required. Excellent customer service skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience managing a staff preferred.
