The engagement specialist’s role has two main components: to source and monitor the ongoing health of the talent pool through continuous candidate engagement and to fill your roles quickly with top candidates from this pool. To be effective in this role, you must develop and maintain relationships with your hiring managers and Kelly MSP teams to understand the hard and soft skills necessary to be successful in their environments and construct the talent pool accordingly. This individual has a broad range of operational responsibilities resulting in strong client and candidate engagement levels, such as working with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, acquiring new pool candidates, offering ongoing support to the talent pool members, managing assignment logistics resolving any issues, and adhering to the established service levels. More specifically, the engagement specialist:  

  • Understands the variety of sourcing methods to build a robust talent community 
  • Thoroughly screens candidates by reviewing resumes/CVs and working closely with the talent to understand who they are, their work/life motivations, their personal brand, and their cultural fit with supporting clients  
  • Manage the full recruiter lifecycle from receiving requisitions, sourcing talent in a private community, submitting talent, walking talent through the interview process and transitioning talent, when hired, to the payroll provider

Responsibilities

Recruiting:

  • Maintains thorough understanding and knowledge of current hiring practices, recruitment strategies, and staffing industry trends  
  • Ensures timely candidate placements and healthy pipeline of qualified candidates. 
  • Monitors NPS results and develops plans to ensure we are meeting client expectations  
  • Identifies and implements work processes that improve speed, productivity, efficiency, cost, and/or the client experience  
  • Participates in routine business reviews  

Talent Engagement: 

  • Analyzes client recruiting needs and partners with the Direct Sourcing Coordinator to develop and deliver recruiting strategy and nurturing campaigns  
  • Develops and maintains relationships with talent within the client talent community, emphasizing the client successes and relationships to keep the talent nurtured and ready for work  
  • Creates, updates and/or validates the relevant candidate records within the talent pools  
  • Communicates the value of client programs and services to the talent  
  • Responds to candidate inquiries and addresses challenges in a timely manner  

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in HR or Business or High School diploma and two to three years of experience in recruiting and/or customer-service related role  
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and decision-making skills are required. Individual must be able to function independently/autonomously yet know when to get management involved.  
  • Demonstrated experience in screening, communication, and assigning talent to key roles for our client(s).  
  • Must be innovative in their approach, willing to take risks and operate successfully in ambiguous situations  
  • Attention to detail - with the ability to multi-task, use sound judgment and prioritize are necessary  
  • Must be able to function in complex and matrix environments with multiple stakeholders 
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills required 
  • Ability to keep and maintain confidential and secure records and information  
  • Must have proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
