Your Opportunity for Impact

The Vice President, Vertical Leader (Kelly Professional & Industrial) is responsible for account management, which includes business development and revenue growth within multiple strategic, large accounts in the Auto, Oil, Gas, Energy, Finance and Insurance sectors. These accounts represent some of Kelly’s largest and most sophisticated solutions across the US region. The portfolio for a Vertical Lead will typically reflect a total of $400M+ in Kelly revenue.

This critical leadership role also has full P&L ownership and is responsible for the overall service delivery within a portfolio of accounts, serving as the single point of contact for delivering a ‘One Kelly’ solution to the client. The VP will drive growth goals and targets established for each account, and will set the strategic operational direction in partnership with internal team members. Additionally, the position ensures all teams within Kelly understand and can implement processes, procedures, and policies which are aligned to the operating and service level agreements with our clients. It is key that the VP represents the voice of the customer to drive improvements throughout the entire operation.

The role has direct management responsibility for leading a team of Sales, Account Management and Operational Leads.

Essential Functions

Relationship Management

  • Build, establish, and provide leadership and strategy for the establishment of a customer focused service delivery model
  • Establish clients SOWs and manage contractual terms and conditions accordingly (including change requests)
  • Ensure the business practices are meeting and exceeding overall service level agreements and customer satisfaction, keeping parties abreast of issues, customer concerns and resolutions
  • Engage with key customers on a frequent basis to provide subject matter expertise and insight in support of the clients’ strategic imperatives
  • Account Growth & Operational Efficiency
  • Balance the needs / expectations of the accounts, programs and lines of business while handling expenses effectively to meet growth and contribution targets
  • Demonstrate results for best-in-class program solutions to our customers and their end users by facilitating strong financial controllership of service delivery operations
  • Assess performance trends and make appropriate adjustments to improve efficiency in order to meet and exceed operating and contractual goals and sales objectives
  • Identify ideas to increase productivity, add innovation, and create solutions that enhance the impact of our solution to our clients

Leadership

  • Collaborate with key internal partners on business plans / strategies which will both meet the customers’ needs and provide Kelly with an appropriate level of profitability
  • With partners, set strategic direction for the creation and adherence to operating and service level agreements which ensure the seamless delivery of services
  • Directly lead, manage, empower and develop managers who are responsible for establishing and directing service delivery to the client
  • Develop bench strength to effectively run the business, which includes having multi-layer succession plans in place

Requirements

  • 15+ years of related / relevant experience including owning large contract negotiations and business development / sales with Fortune 100 companies
  • Excellent leadership, critical thinking and consultative competencies
  • Strong problem solver, analytical capacity and decision maker
  • Proven track record to effectively influence senior-level leaders both internally and externally
  • Strong financial savvy with the ability to impact revenue and business development
  • Ability to balance client demands with internal capabilities and profitability
  • Experience leading one or more verticals with complex accounts in matrixed environments with multiple partners on a national level
  • Role is virtual with approximately 50% travel in the US as well as Canada
