The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Complete and oversee the operational support associated with one BPO program including work processes for effective communication, hiring, training, counseling, problem resolution, and resolution of payroll, billing, and expense issues.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and business reviews to customers and internal stakeholders. Travel to customer sites as required.
  • Manage and supervise staff to ensure service commitments are met. Coach, counsel, and conduct performance reviews as necessary.
  • Track and measure general and program-specific data and metrics and report to customer, OCG management and internal stakeholders as necessary.

Management of Operations: 

  • Support customer relations at each operation through
  • Regular contact and communication with site customer
  • Weekly operations and volume reporting
  • Continuous customer interaction and meetings
  • Conducting customer satisfaction survey and reporting
  • Financial Support
  • Profit and loss statement review
  • Budget support
  • Initiate and document cost saving initiatives
  • Explore and present new opportunities at operation
  • Assist Director of Operations with employee and operational issues through administration of Growth Development Program
  • Generate productivity reports
  • Assist with Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) events
  • Conduct employee evaluations and development plans

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of business experience in a customer service-related environment
  • Previous background in running a P&L
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Problem solving and process-oriented skills a must
  • Ability to develop and promote strong customer relationships
  • Ability to manage in a changing environment with constantly changing business needs and priorities
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
  • Analytical ability – research and resolve issues using data
  • Detail oriented

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business admin, Production Operations, or related field preferred

  • 10 years minimum experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing, or Logistics Management

  • Extensive knowledge of WMS systems including interacting with automated material handling equipment such as conveyor belts, sorting equipment, and ASRS.

  • Extensive experience with pick and pack operations to multi-destination point of shipments

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Lean principles

  • Ability to lead varying process re-engineering initiatives in coordination with BPO teams and customer contacts

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels both internally and externally

  • Experience with team building practices and techniques

  • Prior direct management experience

  • Must be able to prioritize and make quick effective decisions

  • Strong quality background – Six Sigma preferred – ISO 9000

  • Knowledge of safety OSHA requirements

  • Ability to qualify and quantify results

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Ability to travel between sites within the US.
