Your Workplace

As a future member of the Enterprise Connectivity team, you will be working on smart connectivity for our Ford vehicles in Europe. You will be part of the team developing advanced features and functions for the connected cars of tomorrow, applying the latest technologies in cloud environments, Internet-of-Things (IoT), wireless communications and IT security (cybersecurity). You will help by shaping the new digital age of the automobile around electrification, connectivity, vehicle-to-X, and much more. Key responsibilities

  • Feature and control Unit (ECU) development. Coordination of feature implementation within the In-Vehicle Infotainment & Connectivity (IVI-C) system and its interfaces (cloud systems, HMI, ECUs, etc.)
  • Close collaboration with Software-development teams (internally & externally) with regards to the development of new IVI-C features, as well as project managing their introduction
  • Comparison and evaluation of different specifications and solutions considering new technologies, regional customer expectations and legal requirements
  • Responsibility for the design-verification-process of software and features/functions
  • Detailed analysis of test results, considering requirements and interface partners
  • Setup of project plans, project control, identification of project risks, implementation of risk countermeasures as well as internal and external project reporting 

Your profile

  • Above-average degree in computer science, electrical engineering, business informatics or equivalent
  • Experience in development of distributed functions and systems, preferably in the area of infotainment and connectivity
  • Experience in project management in software, electric/electronic or infotainment products, preferably including usage of (agile) project management tools in the automotive sector
  • High degree of initiative, responsibility and resilience
  • High degree of product and system knowledge in the area of connectivity / infotainment
  • Experience with tools like Office 365, CAD, Jira, CANalyzer are advantageous
  • Very good English skills, German language skills are a plus
