Role: FP&A Manager

Exp: 14 years exp into FPA and 5+ yrs into people management

 

Key responsibilities:

Categorise in headlines the key responsibilities that demonstrates the variety of roles that the organisation expects the position to fulfil

         Participation in the strategic initiatives and driving transition projects

         Proactive participation in the GBS Finance Extended Management Forum to develop cross team initiatives and promote knowledge sharing

         Representing the team in the Stakeholder Management forums/meetings (e.g. CFPman meetings etc.)

         Driving new strategic initiatives envisaged by the GBS management/stakeholders

         Ensure that all the process related documents are up to date

         Ensure strong succession management for Specialist and people manager positions

         Participate in interview process for recruitment of staff

 

In the role the candidate is expected to:

         Demonstrates supervisory and analytical skills including coordinating with the team in  prioritising tasks and balancing workload across the team

         Administers the performance appraisal process within the team.  Monitors job performance of team members and provide constructive feedback.  Actively works with staff to assess training requirements and develops plans to ensure staff needs are addressed

         Initiates and facilitates the sharing of process knowledge and best practices within the team and across the Organisation, and is capable of impacting and influencing others

         Proactively identifies, recommends and implements process improvements in procedures of team assignments.

         Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills

         Maintains an awareness of the business, operational activities, and processes in areas pertaining to scope of responsibilities

         Ensures stakeholder satisfaction by working closely with stakeholder teams in identifying the key process drivers/issues and completion/solution of the same

         Highly self-motivated to work independently, within delegated authority, with minimal or no supervision

         Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team, and a clear understanding of how assigned responsibilities impact other processes and the work of other people

         Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills

         Proactively works on creating adequate backups for the existing processes to reduce  people dependency

         Coach & develop people

         Developing key talents and grooming them to take-up challenging responsibilities

         Developing Team leaders/SPOC to independently manage day to day deliverables

 

Key Areas of responsibility:

         Take an active role in mentoring colleagues in CFPIN

         Driving innovation through sharing best practices and learnings across the Operations and Product Supply team

         Partnering new setups – like IR, CFa, Biopharm other new areas by structuring the offshoring process, smooth transition, stabilisation and seamless delivery

         Supporting the new FP&A Director in framing the GBS FP&A and Global FP&A Ambitions

         Working together with the FP&A Director to implement and stabilize the Finance Excellence teams (for all recurring standard reporting) and Partnering setup functions (Supporting Finance Partners)

 

Other areas of responsibility:

         Collaborate with HS reps and ensure their involvement in relevant health and safety processes

         Appoint adequate resources with right competences to perform tasks related to health and safety

         Ensure compliance with systems and policies

         Take full responsibility for development and fulfilment of own development plan (IDP)

         Maintain/develop relevant IT systems and financial models

         Secure a good collaboration between GBS and stakeholders

         Share better practices and act as Finance GBS, Bangalore ambassador outside the area

         Support to teams within area of responsibility and within Finance GBS, Bangalore

 

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Minimum knowledge required to fulfil job responsibilities (not actual CV from candidate/employee)

 

Education:

         Master in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute

         Good academic track record and grades

 

Experience:

 

         Minimum 5-6 years of experience within FP&A in a large multinational Organisation

         Experience in an international work environment

         Long distance and task transfer experience

         Minimum 2-3 years of managerial experience (applicable for experienced TL/Associate Mgr.)

         Self-driven and dedicated/desire to influence

         Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry is preferable
