Finance Business Analyst
Key responsibilities:
Categorise in headlines the key responsibilities that demonstrates the variety of roles that the organisation expects the position to fulfil
• Ownership of Financial Reports providing insights to the Management.
• Support stakeholders with management presentations & driving projects.
• Continuous Engagement with the stakeholders to ensure business needs are addressed
• Training colleagues and driving quality mind-set
• Working closely with the team leader in driving the FPA and GBS Finance Initiatives
Main job tasks:
For each headline indicated above the job tasks should be described in more detail
• Ownership of Weekly, Monthly Sales and Cost Reports
• Provide analysis on the key drivers of deviations against budget/forecast
• Financial System reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly performance presentations for business meetings
• Update management presentations & communications as per business requirement
• Drive process standardisation and simplification
• Contribute towards continuous improvement of processes through driving cLEAN initiatives
• Be a part of the affiliate planning Processes - Anchor Budget and Rolling Estimate process
• Provide adhoc analysis based on business needs
• Ensure documentation is recorded and maintained according to corporate finance archiving guidelines
Scope of Authority:
• Guide team in ensuring quality and timeliness of all deliverables
• Guide the team on smart ways of working and lead simplification initiatives
• Take the lead in finding solutions for process related issues
• Share best practices with wider FP&A organisation
• Pro-actively support the larger FP&A team at GBS Finance on initiatives
• Day to day prioritisation and planning of tasks
• Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure timely decision making
Other areas of responsibility:
• Ensure compliance with Novo Nordisk systems and policies
• Take full responsibility for development and fulfilment of own development plan (IDP)
• Maintain/develop relevant IT systems and financial models
• Secure a good collaboration between GBS and Region APAC FP&A team
• Share better practices and act as an GBS Finance ambassador outside the area
• Support to teams within area of responsibility and within GBS Finance
Communication and Stakeholder interaction:

• Stakeholders at Regional office and Affiliates, Headquarters and indirectly to VP, SVP’s in the line of Business. • The job holder is expected to be a good communicator both written and verbally
• Ensure good and transparent communication and interaction with stakeholders
• The job holder is expected to represent the FPA agenda and ensure efficient communication and implementation

• The job demands high level of innovation and initiative, as most NN markets are complex
• The position holder must continuously scan the market and the environment for better practices and systems
• The position holder is encouraged to secure a constant improvement of processes in order to optimise quality, mitigate errors, improve speed, ease takeover, etc.
Geographic responsibility:
It is important to secure a good collaboration between GBS Bangalore & APAC Stakeholders
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Minimum knowledge required to fulfil job responsibilities (not actual CV from candidate/employee)
Education:
•Master in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute
• Good academic track record and grades
Experience:
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in business controlling and other finance disciplines
• Solid understanding within the field of accounting and finance
• Project management experience
• Proficient with PC-tools, extensive knowledge of MS Office, SAP ECC, SAP BW.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
• Working knowledge of VBA / Tableau / Altryx / QlikSense is an added advantage
