The Business Analyst Intern will support process improvement initiatives and assist in government contract support. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest in analyzing and enhancing business processes, enjoy interpreting technical and process-related documents, and thrive on translating insights into actionable recommendations to drive organizational success.

 

Key Competencies & Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement:
    Identify inefficiencies and opportunities within existing workflows; participate in the development and implementation of solutions to optimize operations
  • Technical and Document Analysis:
    Read, understand, and synthesize information from technical/process-oriented documents to support decision-making and process design
  • Action-Oriented:
    Translate learnings and insights into practical actions; recommend changes based on analysis and follow up to ensure implementation
  • Communication:
    Document findings clearly for various stakeholders and help present actionable recommendations in an effective manner
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and internal teams to support business initiatives and solve operational challenges
  • Initiative and Curiosity:
    Demonstrate a proactive approach in seeking opportunities to improve processes and support contract requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (or equivalent) with a business-focused degree (e.g., economics, finance, accounting, business analytics, human resources, etc.)
  • Highly motivated and adaptable, with a curiosity to learn real-world business and financial concepts
  • Self-driven, resourceful, independent, and willing to take initiative 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative style to working 1:1 or as a team
  • Basic project management and research capability 
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and high technical learning agility
  • Can maintain confidentiality and discretion 
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in Michigan – sponsorship and relocation / housing are not offered with these positions

Hybrid – 2-3 days in the Troy HQ Office

 

Base pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour.  Final hourly compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
