Kelly Education is seeking a Marketing & Strategic Communications Intern to join its dynamic team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and strategic initiatives within the education industry. The intern will play a key part in planning, developing, executing, and measuring marketing and PR campaigns, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders including school partners, educators, community organizations, and vendors.
Key Competencies & Responsibilities
- Project Management & Collaboration:
Assist with developing and executing marketing initiatives and campaigns that align with strategic goals, supporting both virtual and in-person events.
Collaborate with the Public Relations Director and other team members to support proactive PR and media relations campaigns. - Content Creation:
Create compelling stories, newsletters, blogs, press releases, and media advisories that highlight educators, schools, programs, and partnerships.
Conduct interviews and develop content for marketing and PR materials. - Performance Analysis:
Collect, analyze, and report performance metrics to track progress and measure the success of marketing efforts.
Analyze consumer trends and assist with competitive market analyses to identify opportunities for growth. - Communication Skills:
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in preparing professional, engaging content and presentations for diverse audiences. - Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms. - Adaptability and Innovation:
Demonstrate a resourceful, proactive attitude with a desire to innovate and exceed role requirements.
Adapt to fast-paced environments and shifting priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Teamwork & Leadership Potential:
Show a collaborative mindset, accountability, and the ability to inspire, influence, and lead from any role. - Passion for Education & Problem-Solving:
Display enthusiasm for education, community engagement, and employing marketing strategies to tackle organizational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (or equivalent) with a business-focused degree (e.g., economics, finance, accounting, business analytics, human resources, etc.)
- Highly motivated and adaptable, with a curiosity to learn real-world business and financial concepts
- Self-driven, resourceful, independent, and willing to take initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative style to working 1:1 or as a team
- Basic project management and research capability
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and high technical learning agility
- Can maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Must be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in Michigan – sponsorship and relocation / housing are not offered with these positions

Base pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour. Final hourly compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
