Our Senior Supplier Relations Consultant is accountable for: 

  • Delivering a supplier network adequate for operations to perform at go-live.
  • Prioritizing supplier network, identifying mitigation plans, consulting with client on plan and executing plan.  
  • Delivering technology configuration data to set up supplier in VMS technology.
  • Developing and activating contingency and transition plans for non-compliant suppliers.   
  • Resolving supplier issues, including performance consultation internally and externally on best practices.
  • Determining client drivers for the supplier network, developing supplier on-boarding strategy and liaise with key internal and external partners to ensure timely on-boarding.  Proactively identify supplier strategy gaps and engage appropriate resources to create and execute plans to close gaps.  
  • Identifying acceptable contract redlines and maintaining documentation in contract playbook.
  • Expediting supplier redlines by successfully negotiating supplier contracts.  Consulting with client on supplier negotiations of supplier contracts.
  • Functioning as single point of contact for suppliers during implementation.  Consulting with client on customized communications for their suppliers.  

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: 

  • Utilizing influencing skills to build partnerships across the matrix and facilitate cooperation in strategic efforts. 
  • Developing strong personal and professional relationships and advocates across client and supplier organizations. Facilitating cooperation between key Kelly and supplier resources to meet the client’s articulated needs and supplier’s needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in overcoming supplier/client objections, particularly with consulting suppliers not wanting to join the program.
  • Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Understanding of MSP service delivery processes and procedures and exposure to VMS technologies (Fieldglass, Beeline, etc.)
  • Understanding of SOW industry trends, supplier landscape and best practice contractual terms for services spend.
  • Ability to document and manage to project plans and formally write program assessment and consulting reports/recommendations.
  • Advanced MS Office, PC and Internet Skills; proficient in Excel.
