Our Project Manager & Senior Executive Assistant will serve as an individual contributor supporting the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary and Board of Directors at Kelly Services. 

 

This hybrid role blends project management with executive administrative support, working closely with the board of directors, C-suite leadership and cross-functional teams. The position requires a high level of discretion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, executive-facing environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead various project and program activities, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals
    • Assist in the (re)design and optimization of processes using data and insights to diagnose areas for improvement and to develop standard methodologies to drive efficiency
  • Executive Support: Responsible for a range of complex administrative duties:
    • Manage complex calendar for EVP, GC; coordinate meetings and resolve scheduling conflicts
    • Organize meetings and events, with associated travel as needed
    • Prepare and compile meeting agendas, notes / summaries, and itineraries 
    • Develop reports, documents, and presentations for multiple audiences
    • Prioritize emails and departmental tasks
    • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports for board members and senior executives
  • Board and Committee Meeting Management: 
    • Coordinate the full cycle of board and committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing, and distributing meeting materials and presentations
    • Manage communication with board members, including sending timely reminders and tracking responses
    • Organize and manage logistics for in-person and virtual meetings, including setting up rooms and technology, and arranging catering, travel and group meals
  • Board Relations and Support
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for board members, handling inquiries and requests with professionalism and discretion
    • Assist with the onboarding and training of new board members
    • Maintain and update the board portal and relevant documents, such as bylaws and governing policies
    • Assist in planning and coordinating special events, retreats, and off-site activities for the board
    • Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for official board records and confidential information
    • Act as a liaison between the board's office and other departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient processes

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experiences:

  • 5+ years of operations, program and project management, and administrative expertise
  • Critical thinking, effective listening, and strong decision-making skills to develop sound solutions / recommendations
  • Agile learner and innovative problem solver, with a focus on delivering results and improving processes
  • Capability to work autonomously within procedures and practices, with ability to build relationships to achieve collective outcomes as needed
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and planning skills, with effective time management to support multiple projects and executive leaders simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with ability to deliver effective messaging to various audiences including executive leaders
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion and maintain high degree of confidentiality with sensitive matters
  • Technical ability and curiosity to learn new and existing Kelly technologies and systems

 

Position is hybrid - onsite at Kelly HQ in Troy, MI.
