The GFBS Manager oversees Cash, Credit, and third-party Collections teams supporting Kelly’s North American business units, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments, account reconciliations, and collections. This role is responsible for managing and developing staff, driving process efficiency, and proactively identifying and escalating business or customer issues to maximize financial outcomes. The position requires expert problem-solving, workflow analysis, and direct interaction with senior management to recommend and implement improvements. Key duties include managing complex cash applications, resolving account disputes, coordinating third-party collections, and ensuring compliance through audit and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design & Improvement:
    • Design and implement cash application and credit processes for unique customer remittance requirements.
    • Identify, assess, and drive process efficiencies and control enhancements across GFBS.
  • Technical & Analytical Expertise:
    • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounts receivable, billing, credit, cash applications, and collections.
    • Utilize data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel and third-party VMS/e-procurement technologies (Fieldglass, IQN, Beeline, PeopleFluent, etc.), to inform decisions and optimize workflows.
    • Apply financial controls and compliance standards effectively.
  • Project & Change Management:
    • Manage complex and high-impact projects, including system/process changes and audit support.
    • Prioritize, multi-task, and coordinate multiple initiatives with urgency and care.
    • Act as a change agent to advance continuous improvement culture.
  • Leadership & Talent Development:
    • Supervise, guide, and develop a diverse team—motivating staff, resolving issues, and managing performance.
    • Communicate clear goals, provide career coaching, and support succession planning.
    • Recognize and hire talent aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Build relationships across internal/external customers, business sponsors, process owners, and senior leadership.
    • Communicate confidently and collaboratively regarding issues, risks, and decision-making gaps.
    • Provide consultative recommendations, training, and education for process improvements.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making:
    • Independently research issues, analyze workflow, and develop actionable solutions to achieve positive financial impact.
    • Exhibit strong problem analysis, sound judgement, and timely escalation of complex matters (bankruptcies, legal actions, bad debts, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Preferred: Accounting, Business, Finance).
  • 8–10 years of experience in Credit, Cash Applications, Treasury, Accounting, Banking, Staffing, Collections, or Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience with internal controls and process improvement methodologies.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and working knowledge of VMS systems and e-procurement applications.

Base pay rate for this position is $45.00 - $50.00 per hour. Final hourly compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
