We are seeking a highly motivated, driven, and experienced Federal Civilian Health & Science Growth Leader to drive our expansion and impact within the federal civilian health and science sector across the Department of Health and Human Services, with a focus on the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This individual will be a key driver of our growth, responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives and sales activities, building crucial relationships, and winning new work to reach growth targets.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales execution: Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy focused on the health and science market, identifying key accounts, stakeholders, and opportunities to build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned to revenue goals.
- Build and expand client relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across target organizations, leveraging these connections to generate new business and expand existing accounts.
- Execute daily sales activity: Maintain a high level of outbound activity including calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person client visits. Consistently follow up on leads and opportunities to drive deal progression and close business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Proactively prospect and qualify new clients and opportunities, developing tailored solutions that align with client needs and organizational capabilities.
- Develop and deliver client presentations: Create and present compelling sales materials and solutions that clearly communicate value, differentiate offerings, and address client challenges.
- Leverage market intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs within the health and science space to inform sales strategy and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with internal teams including recruiting, operations, and leadership to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Manage and grow existing accounts: Identify opportunities for account expansion, upselling, and long-term partnership development to drive sustained revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, clinical, health-related, or business field.
- 5–10+ years of sales experience: Proven experience in a sales or business development role within the health, science, or related industry, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrated sales success: Ability to build and manage a pipeline, close deals, and consistently achieve growth objectives in a competitive environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills: Proven ability to establish credibility with clients, understand their needs, and deliver solutions that drive value.
- Analytical and strategic thinking: Ability to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales approaches.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-driven mindset: Highly motivated, proactive, and committed to achieving and exceeding performance goals.
Base pay range for this position is $73,875 – $80,000 per year. Final annual compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
