Our Executive Search Recruiter / Sr Recruiter for Kelly Education is a core member of Greenwood Asher & Associates (GAA) execution search team, responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of executive search and leadership consulting engagements in higher education and K–12 independent school markets. 

 

Working closely with project teams, the position leads candidate cultivation and vetting, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination to ensure searches are conducted with rigor, responsiveness, and the firm’s hallmark client service. This role requires a high degree of organization, intellectual curiosity about leadership in education, and a genuine commitment to building relationships with candidates and clients alike.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Candidate Cultivation & Search Execution

  • Prepares candidate profiles, summaries, and materials for client presentation
  • Manages and maintains applicant tracking systems to ensure accurate candidate records and timely updates

 

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manages client engagement activities including stakeholder listening sessions, focus groups, and on-site visits
  • Synthesizes stakeholder input into thematic reports and leadership profiles to inform search criteria
  • Communicates proactively with clients and internal teams on search progress and candidate status

 

Thought Leadership & Sector Knowledge

  • Maintains current knowledge of leadership trends, governance structures, and institutional priorities in higher education and K–12 independent schools
  • Contributes to the firm’s Leadership Solutions and coaching service lines as the practice grows
  • Supports knowledge-sharing and continuous learning across the team

 

Project & Operational Management

  • Coordinates project management for assigned searches, including maintaining timelines and tracking deliverables
  • Participates in firm-wide operations and cross-functional collaboration with Kelly Education and enterprise partners
  • Contributes to continuous process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Establishes clear objectives aligned with search strategy and promotes accountability for high-quality results

 

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experiences:

  • Exec Search Recruiter: Minimum 2+ years of experience in executive search, higher education administration, K–12 leadership, talent management, or a related field
  • Senior Exec Search Recruiter: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated ability to independently manage search processes, client relationships, and complex projects
  • Experience in or knowledge of education sector / K–12 independent schools and / or academic healthcare / medicine is a significant plus
  • Strong relationship-building, engagement, and candidate management skills, with the ability to guide candidates through the search process while creating a positive candidate experience
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, timelines, and stakeholder communications
  • Familiarity with the structure and culture of higher education institutions and / or K–12 independent schools, including governance and leadership roles
  • Ability to conduct thorough candidate research and produce clear, compelling written summaries and profiles
  • Presents ideas and engages with candidates, clients, and colleagues in a credible, warm, and professional manner
  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment and contributes to a collegial, high-performance culture
  • Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to develop expertise across new markets, service lines, and methodologies

 

Location: Virtual / Remote with travel to client

Travel: ~25%

 

Base pay range for this position is $70,000 – $100,000 per year depending on experience and level.  Final annual compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
