We are seeking a talented Associate Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team focused on building and scaling innovative SaaS products. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing features that drive user acquisition, retention, and growth. You'll work with a collaborative team to turn product ideas into scalable solutions, contribute to a modern tech stack, and directly impact the success of our platform. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and ship new features that directly support user acquisition, engagement, and retention goals
- Build scalable, performant backend and frontend systems that support growing user bases and increasing data volumes
- Partner with product managers, designers, and growth teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established coding standards and best practices
- Monitor application performance, analytics, and user behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and learn from experienced engineers on the team
- Iterate rapidly on features based on user feedback and product metrics
- Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge with the team
- Maintain and improve existing features to ensure reliability, security, and optimal user experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development practices
- Ability to write clean, efficient code and write tests to ensure code quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug issues systematically
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Passion for learning new technologies and staying current with best practices
- Comfort using agentic coding frameworks (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-powered development tools) to improve productivity and code quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or contributing to SaaS or subscription-based products
- Familiarity with modern web development frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Next.js, etc.)
- Experience with backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Go, etc.)
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms and deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- Contributions to open-source projects demonstrating code quality and collaboration
- Interest in or understanding of growth-driven product development
Base pay range for this position is $72,000 - $75,000 per year. Final annual compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
