The Sr HR Consultant will be the first line support for all HR and ER related matters. The role will include advising, coaching and mentoring managers on all HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local HR legislation.
This is a remote position in Budapest, with onsite requirements of 1 time per month.
This role is a fixed term, maternity cover, minimum of 2 years.
Our Sr. HR Consultant is accountable for:
- Be the first-line HR support for Life Sciences employees and management, providing expert advice and guidance on all HR matters and ensuring understanding of Kelly's policies, processes, and employee entitlements.
- Lead employee relations casework, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently, and in compliance with applicable employment legislation and company policies.
- Partner with local HR stakeholders and EOR (Employer of Record) providers across the EMEA region to deliver onboarding and offboarding activities, including the administration of new FSP starters, leavers, and employment changes, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
- Assist in the maintenance of all HR data and providing relevant reports as and when required.
- Participate in regional and global HR projects and process improvement initiatives aligned with the HR strategy and business objectives.
- Keep all HR related systems up to date and manage day-to-day HR administration, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, benefit administration, and employee record maintenance.
- Ensure all employees receive accurate and compliant HR documentation in a timely manner and to a defined and consistent standard.
- Ensure external EOR and payroll partners receive accurate and timely employee data to facilitate the successful processing of monthly payrolls for the Kelly FSP workforce.
- Resolve payroll-related queries in partnership with local HR stakeholders and external EOR providers, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the FSP business regarding employee benefits, policies, and processes.
- Ensure the global HRIS system (PeopleSoft) is maintained accurately to support the timely processing of incentive and compensation programs
- Support the implementation of the new HRIS platform (Workday), including data validation, process testing, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption activities.
- Work closely with regional HR Business Partners to ensure country specific compliance.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, & Experience:
Required
- 5+ years of experience supporting employees and managers within a complex international HR environment, with exposure to multi-country employment practices and workforce solutions.
- Strong understanding of international employment practices and the ability to work effectively with local HR teams, legal counsel, and external providers to ensure compliance with country-specific requirements.
- The ability to gather, analyze and report on HR data, including key metrics and trends to support decision-making.
- Previous experience in HR administration and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating and delivering onboarding activities for new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive transition into the organization.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with managers, employees, and stakeholders across diverse teams and geographical location.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and manage expectations effectively.
- Demonstrates resilience and professionalism when working through complexity, ambiguity, and organizational change.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive activities to completion while ensuring HR best practice.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and HR technology platforms, with strong systems acumen, experience utilizing AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and insights, and the ability to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
- Fluency in English and Hungarian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages are essential.
