Our Benefits Data Analyst is accountable for:
- Translating healthcare claims, utilization, and population health insights into actionable benefits strategies and recommendations for leadership.
- Partnering with internal and offshore analytics resources to identify healthcare cost drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluating benefits programs, clinical solutions, and vendor performance to identify opportunities to improve outcomes, employee experience, and return on investment.
- Supporting the development and implementation of healthcare and benefits strategies aligned with organizational, financial, and employee needs.
- Leading and managing strategic benefits initiatives from recommendation through implementation, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, and project execution.
- Developing business cases, executive presentations, and recommendations based on healthcare analytics, program performance, and industry trends.
- Collaborating with vendors, brokers, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders to support benefits strategy, plan design, and program effectiveness.
- Monitoring benefits metrics and key performance indicators to measure program performance and support data-driven decision-making.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, Total Rewards, healthcare benefits, plan design, cost modeling, healthcare analytics, or related experience required.
- Strong understanding of health and welfare benefits, including medical, pharmacy, dental, and other employee benefit programs.
- Experience interpreting healthcare, benefits, claims, utilization, or population health data and translating findings into business recommendations preferred.
- Experience with self-insured healthcare plans, healthcare cost management, vendor management, or benefits strategy strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify meaningful trends and opportunities.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and initiatives from strategy through implementation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex information for technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL preferred.
- Additional preferred experience includes knowledge of ERISA and benefits compliance requirements, as well as operational and compliance experience managing leave programs including FMLA, unpaid leave, state-mandated leaves, disability, and related programs.
Candidate must be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Base pay range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per year. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus with a target of 10% of base salary, based on applicable plan terms and individual and company performance. Final annual compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
